Day 1:

Arrival in Tanzania

Day Overview

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a friendly Rebleko representative will meet you for your transfer to Weru Weru River Lodge in Moshi. The lodge offers a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by tropical gardens and views of Mount Kilimanjaro — the perfect place to rest and prepare for your upcoming climb.

Day 2:

Marangu Gate (1,960m) to Mandara Huts (2,780m)

Day Overview

After breakfast, meet your mountain crew and drive to Marangu Gate, the official starting point of your Kilimanjaro adventure. Complete registration formalities, then begin your ascent through the lush rainforest zone, filled with birdsong and the occasional sighting of blue monkeys.

The 4-hour trek leads to Mandara Huts, where you’ll enjoy dinner and a restful night surrounded by nature’s serenity.

Day 3:

Mandara Huts (2,780m) to Horombo Huts (3,780m)

Day Overview

Today’s climb gradually transitions from rainforest to moorland as the vegetation changes with altitude. The 6-hour trek rewards you with sweeping views of Mawenzi Peak and the distant plains below.

Arrive at Horombo Huts, your home for the night, where you’ll rest and refuel for the higher altitudes ahead.

Day 4:

Acclimatization at Horombo Huts (3,780m)

Day Overview

This is your acclimatization day — a crucial step to adjust to the altitude. After breakfast, take a light hike toward Mawenzi Crater (approx. 4,300m), enjoying breathtaking views and crisp mountain air.

Return to camp in the afternoon for relaxation, a warm meal, and perhaps a refreshing dip in the mountain stream nearby.

Day 5:

Horombo Huts (3,790m) to Kibo Huts (4,700m)

Day Overview

After breakfast, continue your climb across alpine desert landscapes — a stark, beautiful contrast to the lush forests below. The 6-hour trek to Kibo Huts, located at the base of the summit, serves as your final stop before the summit push.

Arrive around mid-afternoon for rest, a light meal, and early sleep in preparation for the midnight summit attempt.

Day 6:

Summit Day – Kibo Huts (4,700m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), then Descend to Horombo Huts (3,780m)

Day Overview

This is the most thrilling and challenging day of your journey. Wake up before midnight, enjoy a cup of hot tea and light snacks, and begin your final ascent under a sky full of stars.

After a 6-hour climb, you’ll reach Gilman’s Point (5,685m) on the crater rim. From there, continue another 2 hours to the summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your incredible achievement as the sun rises over the continent, painting the glaciers and clouds below in gold and crimson hues.

After photos and celebration, descend carefully to Kibo Hut for a short rest, then continue down to Horombo Huts for a well-deserved meal and overnight stay.

Day 7:

Horombo Huts (3,780m) – Mandara Huts (2,780m) – Marangu Gate (1,960m)

Day Overview

After breakfast, begin your descent through the lush rainforest. The walk takes about 5–7 hours and offers a final chance to soak in the beautiful surroundings of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Once you reach Marangu Gate, you’ll receive your climbing certificates, a proud reminder of your achievement. Your driver will transfer you back to Weru Weru River Lodge in Moshi for a hot shower, relaxation, and a celebratory dinner.
