Day 1:

Arrival in Tanzania

Day Overview

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Rebleko representative. After a brief introduction and transfer, settle into your comfortable accommodation at Arusha Silver Palm Hotel for a relaxing evening before your climb begins.
Enjoy dinner and rest well as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2:

Lemosho Gate (2,100m) – Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750m)

Day Overview

Day 2:

After breakfast, drive from Arusha to the Lemosho Gate where registration formalities are completed. From here, begin your trek through lush rainforest trails rich with birds, monkeys, and tropical flora until you reach Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp.
Dinner and overnight at the camp under the stars.

Day 3:

Mti Mkubwa (2,750m) – Shira Plateau (3,500m)

Day Overview

The trail gradually steepens as you leave the forest and enter the heather and moorland zone. Crossing small streams and ridges, you reach the wide expanse of the Shira Plateau with stunning views of Kibo Peak.
Set camp near a stream at Shira 1 Camp for the night.

Hiking Time: 5 hours

Day 4:

Shira Plateau (3,500m) – Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)

Day Overview

A gentle trek across the plateau allows time to acclimatize while enjoying panoramic views. This short stage is perfect for rest and preparation for higher altitudes ahead.
You’ll stay overnight at Shira 2 Camp, surrounded by vast open moorlands.

Day 5:

Shira 2 Camp (3,850m) – Barranco Camp (3,940m)

Day Overview

Continue trekking east toward Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization before descending into the beautiful Barranco Valley. The dramatic scenery includes towering cliffs and breathtaking views of the western Breach.
Dinner and overnight at Barranco Camp.

Day 6:

Barranco Camp (3,940m) – Barafu Camp (4,600m)

Day Overview

Start the day by scaling the Great Barranco Wall, a rewarding climb that reveals spectacular vistas. Traverse alpine deserts and ridges toward the Karanga Valley (4,000m) before ascending to Barafu Camp, your base for the summit attempt.
Spend the night resting and preparing for your early morning ascent.

Hiking Time: 6 hours (including Karanga Valley stop)

Day 7:

Barafu (4,600m) – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Day Overview

Your summit day begins before dawn. Under the starlit sky, ascend slowly up the slopes of Kibo, passing the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. After an inspiring effort, you’ll reach Uhuru Peak — the highest point in Africa — where a breathtaking sunrise and endless views reward your climb.

After celebrating your success, descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest and lunch, then continue down to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.

Hiking Time: 10–12 hours total

Day 8:

Mweka Camp (3,100m) – Mweka Gate (1,600m) – Arusha

Day Overview

Descend through the lush rainforest filled with birdsong and rich vegetation. After about 3–4 hours, you’ll reach Mweka Gate, where certificates of achievement are awarded.
Enjoy a warm lunch before being driven back to Arusha Silver Palm Hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Day 9:

Tarangire National Park

Day Overview

After breakfast, your safari begins! Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its vast elephant herds, towering baobabs, and golden savannah. Spend the day on thrilling game drives spotting giraffes, lions, zebras, and perhaps even leopards resting in the trees.

In the evening, head to Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Day Overview

Today’s adventure takes you to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the densest population of wildlife in Africa. Descend into the crater floor for an incredible game-viewing experience, where you may spot flamingos, lions, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and even the rare black rhino.

Later in the afternoon, return to Arusha for your final night in Tanzania.
