Karatu → Ndutu (Southern Serengeti) — The Great Migration Calving Season

Day Overview

After breakfast, set off for the heart of the Southern Serengeti, where the endless plains of Ndutu await. This is where the Great Migration pauses each year to give birth — an awe-inspiring event that paints the land with over 400,000 newborn wildebeests between January and March.

You’ll witness new life unfolding before your eyes — calves taking their first steps, mothers protecting their young, and predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas moving stealthily across the plains.

Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature, continue your game drive until late afternoon, and then return to camp for a hearty dinner under the stars.

This is where the Serengeti feels truly alive — raw, powerful, and unforgettable.
